Gestalt Therapy is a truly valuable approach in developing self-awareness and personal growth. It offers a model of how we interact with ourselves and our environment. Gestalt raises our awareness of being present in the moment and of being “In Contact”. It is for many a revelation in how we can practice therapy.
This course introduces you to all the key aspects of Gestalt therapy, including its links to Humanistic principles, the concept of Figure and Ground, Contact between Self and Environment, the phases of the Cycle of Awareness, and Interruptions to Contact. And you learn key experiments and techniques developed by Gestalt therapists such as the Empty Chair technique, Self-Awareness exercises and the Gestalt method of Dream Analysis.
You don’t need any previous experience to take this course for your own development and interest. Or, if you are training to be, or are qualified as, a Counsellor or Psychotherapist, this course is valuable Continuing Professional Development to add to your existing knowledge and skills.
This course is recognised and Quality Checked by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society which holds an Accredited Register, recognised by the Professional Standards Authority.
