Status Quo star Francis Rossi believes he spent a staggering £1.7 million on cocaine during the band's heyday.
The guitarist, now 64, told telegraph.co.uk that he really wished he hadn't become so reliant on drugs or alcohol after spending £1,200 a week on his addiction during the late 1970s.
Rossi said huge payments from record sales and Quo concerts at the height of their fame meant he could always fund his bad habit, which eventually started to take its toll on his body.
He said: "From about 1979 to 1987, I did loads of coke. I used to wash my nose out in the shower. One day, a bit of septum fell out - I heard it go down the shower."
Not only did dad-of-eight Rossi lose part of his nose to the class A drug, he said that his relationship with cocaine also lost him many friends and even influenced a change in his personality.
Of course, had Rossi put himself forward to attend a hypnotherapy course during the band's hellraising days, he may have been able to keep hold of these friendships and look back on his career with less regret.
Despite spending vast sums of money on his drug addiction, the rocker's finances appear to be in good shape today. However, cited by thesun.co.uk, Rossi said he still could do with the money he spent on cocaine.
After confirming his wealth to be in the region of £2 million and £10 million, he said: "Whichever way you put it, it's still not enough, as the decimal places just keep moving to the right, don't they."
