Stella is an experienced counsellor, clinical supervisor and clinical manager for organisations, schools, and individuals. Stella originally started her training as a psychologist in northern Greece, but soon decided to continue her training in the field of counselling and psychotherapy.
Stella trained at the University of Edinburgh, gaining a PG Diploma and Master of Science in Counselling and Psychotherapy with honours.
Stella has 10 years of experience working as a clinical supervisor and agency manager for one of the biggest mental health providers in education. She has supported children, young people and families both in educational settings and in private practice.
Stella is passionate about the provision of mental health support in the early formative years. Hence, she has written and delivered training for school staff and organisations.
Stella completed a L7 Advanced Diploma in Counselling Supervision (accredited) with honours in 2021. Her clinical approach is integrative with a foundation of modern psychodynamic thinking and person-centred ethos. She has also experience using creative therapeutic mediums and playfulness as an agent of change. As a supervisor, Stella employs the Functional Model (Inskipp &Proctor) to work creatively with clinicians of different modalities and to review the quality of the supervisory practice.
Stella holds a private practice working exclusively online with adults and young people 16+years old. As a bilingual practitioner, Stella is interested in the use of language in the therapeutic process with bilingual and multilingual clients. Having worked with clients with diverse cultural backgrounds, Stella is passionate about working with the client’s cultural framework in counselling.
When she is not working or teaching, Stella enjoys long walks in nature with her family and her Labrador.
