Paula Barlow

Paula is a Counsellor, Hypnotherapist, and Counselling Supervisor in Reading. She initially qualified in Social Administration and Psychology and has an MA in Human Resource Management (Chartered FCIPD) and has worked in various large blue chip organisations and charities. She trained with Chrysalis back in 2013, studying the Certificate in Hypnotherapy and the Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (AD, Prof, Dip PC)

Since qualifying Paula has worked in private practice and has also had a variety of paid roles, including for Victim Support and Sondrel Ltd. She has also worked in a voluntary capacity for Cruse/ for those suffering with grief and loss, as a Bereavement Support Counsellor. She also runs a monthly supervision and peer supervision group.

Paula takes an integrative approach in her counselling sessions, commonly using a person-centred approach, psychodynamic, CBT, gestalt as well as hypnotherapy interventions.
