Michael is a person-centred counsellor from the East Midlands. He completed his BA(Hons) in Humanistic Counselling Practice in 2016 at the University of Nottingham and integrates different aspects of other Humanistic modalities into his practice in response to his client's needs. He has continued to develop his counselling practice through an extensive thirst for knowledge completing CPD in his areas of Interest.

As a result of his initial placement, Michael developed a passion for working with clients who had experienced trauma and went on to complete an MA Trauma Informed Practice at the University of Nottingham in 2022 with a specialist interest and understanding in Dissociative Disorders.

Since his initial qualification, Michael chose to work in Private Practice and built a successful career as a private practice Psychotherapist. He has done sessional work for charities as helping those who are most at need is close to his heart. He has experience working with healthcare insurance companies and became the employee assistance provider for a local company. He also is a qualified Clinical Supervisor as he completed a BPS approved certificate in clinical supervision, and has developed a great understanding of both third sector and statutory services working practices through supervising other counsellors.

He is also currently leading and developing a Culturally-Wise Gambling Addiction Support Service for a BAMER (Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic & Refugee) charity. This role brings another dimension to his knowledge base. With further developing his understanding of document creation that is service specific and also with a new learning process of grant monitoring form completion and data capture.
