Martin Handy

Martin completed the Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills and the Advanced Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling in Southampton. He has recently completed a counselling and psychotherapy research paper in Personal Mythology and Life Narrative for the Level 6 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Informed by Research). Martin completed his placement in a Wiltshire Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre and gained specific experience and training in trauma recovery.

He currently has a private practice offering counselling, psychotherapy, spiritual counselling, supervision and hypnotherapy in Stockbridge, Hampshire, and online.

Martin previously trained as a teacher and has worked in primary schools, pupil referral units, special needs, foster-care education support, further education and the prison sector. He has also worked as an education consultant, mentor and professional development co-ordinator. He has lived and worked overseas in New Zealand, India, Brazil and Sri Lanka and returned to the UK in 2012 and now lives on a farm in the South Downs enjoying walking, cycling, painting and immersing himself in the spirit of Mother Nature.
