Marc works for the Cambridgeshire Violence Against Women & Girls project, as Service Manager. He oversees provision of Therapies for young people who have been exposed to domestic abuse or sexual violence through 1-2-1 specialist Counselling or Group Work.

Prior to this, Marc had many years of experience working directly in the areas of domestic abuse, working with both victims and perpetrators. He has also spent over 20 years working with fathers and mothers, providing parenting programmes, with a particular focus on masculinities and father-inclusive practice. Marc designed the parenting programme ‘Dads Parent Coaching’ and extensively worked with men in his previous role of ‘Fathers Engagement Co-ordinator’ in London.

Marc’s work has been recognised by the ‘Fatherhood Institute’ as a national example of best practice in engaging men, and won an, ‘Innovator of the Year 2014 Award’ for designing a holistic family approach to domestic abuse.

Marc has provided training on working with men and fathers to organisations and professionals, including Cambridgeshire County Council, Roddens Housing Association, Health Authorities, and has co-delivered LSCB training on safeguarding and working with men.

Marc is a professionally qualified Counsellor & Psychotherapist and holds additional qualifications; ‘Professional Diploma is Masculinities (NTU)’, ‘Advanced CBT’, a mindfulness Teacher’ and is an accredited parenting trainer, and is also trained through ‘RESPECT and ‘AVA’ to work with families and children affected by domestic abuse.
