MHS
A fully qualified Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, Glynis is herself a Chrysalis graduate, using an ‘integrated’ approach when working with her clients. With both private clients and referrals through public and third sector organisations, she views the art of hypnosis as an excellent form of relaxation, as well as a means of delving deeper into a client’s subconscious. This helps her to work with her clients to identify significant past events, which may be impacting on the client’s ‘here and now’.
With a long-standing interest in health and wellbeing, Glynis has worked with clients suffering from low self - esteem, anxiety and depression, eating disorders and drug and alcohol addiction. Many of these are symptoms of underlying problems with relationships, bereavement and low levels of confidence or identity issues.
She came into teaching and training over twenty years ago, working predominantly with adults who were looking to improve their employment and life prospects. After working for several large organisations in a senior capacity, she took the plunge 10 years ago to become a life coach, working one to one with clients, and ultimately progressing her career into hypnotherapy and counselling, which she sees as her ‘forever’ job.
Glynis has a particular interest in working with clients who have been in abusive relationships, and currently volunteers at a women’s refuge, as well as offering therapy to young people who have experienced or witnessed domestic violence.
Glynis is a Registrant member of The National Hypnotherapy Society. To view Glynis's profile click here.
