Caroline has had a varied career, staring as biomedical scientist in the NHS. While in this role she discovered a flair for communication and went on to study a PGCE at Newcastle University, qualifying as a teacher of science in 1999. To further her understanding of the psychology behind education Caroline completed her Masters degree in 2004. Expanding her pastoral role Caroline realised that her talents lay in helping people find solutions to their own issues and conflicts.

Following private study into therapy, counselling and self-help, Caroline enrolled with Chrysalis studying counselling and hypnotherapy, quickly establishing her own hypnotherapy practice, helping a wide range of clients with a cross section of needs. Caroline has a level five advanced diploma in integrative counselling blending her private practice with children’s work for a local counselling organisation She provides community talks in the more deprived local areas and runs group classes using NLP and mindfulness to help re-establish coping mechanisms, reflecting her personal ethos of inclusion, learning and self-development.

Caroline has further specialist training in post-traumatic stress disorder, counselling and hypnotherapy for children, rapid inductions, cognitive behaviour therapy, neuro linguistic programming and mindfulness. She draws on a range of techniques, along with her education experience, to provide person-centred solutions.

Caroline has furthered her studies and has recently completed and been awarded the Chrysalis Level 6 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Research in Counselling).
